BCG lists Russia’s MTS among world’s top 10 telecom companies

MOSCOW, Apr 7 (PRIME) -- Major Russian mobile operator MTS has been listed among the top 10 of the rating by international consulting company BCG among the world’s telecom firms by total shareholder return (TSR), an operator spokesperson told PRIME on Tuesday.

“In the annual rating by BCG, an international company specializing on management consulting, MTS was on the fifth place in 2015–2019 among integrated and wireless operators and on the ninth place among the world’s telecom companies (including cable and tower operators) with the annual average TSR at 16.1%,” the spokesperson said.

The TSR is calculated on the base of growth of shares and dividend yield per share over a certain period.

The MTS spokesperson said that one of the key directions of the company’s development strategy ÌÒÑ Customer Lifetime Value 2.0 for 2020–2022 and the two previous strategies in 2014–2019 is to improve business profitability and maintain high level of return on investment to shareholders.
